The Lowest Bidder Often Spells Disaster by John Brogan CEO/Founder Every day we hear from potential clients the same old and tired story..... "Company XYZ does what you do for half the price!" Our response is always the same....."Please sign up with company XYZ because quality does not come at a wholesale price." Why do we chase away a potential sale? Because there are two types of clients every business owner has to deal with: (1) clients that understand and appreciate high quality service, and (b) clients that only want the lowest price regardless of what they get in return. If you are a business owner or are in a position that has to deal with the sale-side of the business, you know exactly what I mean. At Global IntelliSystems We only work with clients who care about quality and demand their mail is delivered properly, professionally, and on-time. Here is just a handful of the finer points of what you get for your money......
(a) Dedicated servers on a squeaky clean network, If you are still not convinced that quality costs a little bit more, perhaps you should consider this: Let's say you wanted to send out a direct (paper) mailing piece to a target audience of 100,000 people. Vendor A has a complete network of high quality vendors to obtain the clean and targeted mailing list you need, print the direct mail piece with a local printer who would let you see the piece before it was mailed, get you the lowest postage rate possible, and add extra seed addresses to the mailing to ensure your mailing was sent. Vendor A would charge $11,400 for the service. Then you find Vendor B who claims to do the "exact same thing" but would only charge you $5,200 for the same job. You might be tempted to jump at Vendor B because the price was so good for the "exact" same mailing. But after digging a little with Vendor B you find that the "clean" mailing list they use was a list that was 6 years old, had no NCOA procedures in place, used a printer overseas who had no QC process to offer, and would only give you a count of the total mailings that were returned. See the differrence? If you don't care if your mailing actually went out the door properly then Vendor B would be the one for you. But if you are like most business owners you want to know that your 100,000 piece mailing had the very best shot at being received by your target audience, PERIOD. Vendor A is for you. So if you found an email service provider that is offering you amazingly low rates, take a step back and do a little research. You might just find that the amazingly low rate you were quoted gives you amazingly little in return. Sign up with Global IntelliSystems and I can assure you that every dollar you spend will be spent wisely, effectively, and professionally. We look forward to doing business with you. John Brogan
