Highly Scalable Delivery Servers

Here is How it works

First, we talk with you to determine how many messages you send at one time and how quickly you want the mail delivered. On average, one of our HP 360 G5 servers with 10 virtual servers inside can deliver 200,000 messages per half-hour. We always recommend at least two (2) of our HP 360 servers per client just in case one server has a fault - the other will carry the load.

We then distribute your delivery servers evenly in each of our two data centers to again take care of redundancy issues. Even if one data center goes completely dark, we will still deliver your mail. Optional: You can also have the delivery servers running in your own data center. All we need to know are the IP addresses to assign to each delivery server.

Next we work with you to come up with hostnames you want to use for your delivery servers. The hostname is part of your domain name so the mail looks like it is coming directly from you with no trace of us in the message header. We give you the proper SPF record to add to your dns and also give you the DKIM/Domain Key to also assign to your DNS. The SPF and Domain Key is used for bounce management and to make sure your mail has the best shot at landing in the inbox.

Next we contact all of the ISP's that have whitelists and add your new server IP addresses to their whitelists. We handle bounce management for you so all bounces will come back to those servers which then forward the bounces to our bounce processing gateway where the bounces are categorized and stored into your account. All of this is done live so you can see the bounces on your report within minutes of launching your campaign.

We then assign those servers to your account so when you launch your mailings those servers are solely used for the delivery of your mail. Nobody else but you owns those servers and we can always add more as your list grows.

If one of your servers should fail, don't worry, the other server automatically carries the load. Since the HP servers are built with redundancy in mind (RAID-arrays, dual power supplies, and a lights-out management interface), chances are slim you will have any problems, ever. But we will keep a close eye on the servers and will take care of any device problems should they arise. Our bundler system tests the entire server network every five minutes and removes any that raise alarms. Should a job fail in-progress our bundler system will take the unfinished job and send that job to the alternate server.

How Much It Costs

NEW If you send a low volume of mail (under 100,000 per launch) then we can provide you with an mid-level HP DL series dedicated server for a one-time price of $1,795 which includes installation, setup, whitelisting, warm-up and end-to-end testing with the ISP's. That server will handle up to 100,000 messages per launch. If you need a higher volume server then we will place you on our standard HP 360 DL server noted below.

Each HP 360 DL server is priced at only $5,795 and that includes configuration, installation, whitelisting, warm-up, and end-to-end testing. On average please allow 14 business days for ordering and installation of the server because whitelisting may take up to a week for some ISP's. Sorry there are no quantity discounts - that price is almost at cost with the labor involved in the setup, whitelisting, and testing of the servers. The server contains the following hardware:

Can I Use My Own Servers?

Unfortunately, no. We need to maintain the highest quality delivery server network and we have found that HP servers are extremely reliable. Plus, their integrated lights-out system allows us to monitor every facet of the server in real time so we can catch faults before they impact delivery.

There is NO LIMIT on Servers

Each client can have two physical delivery servers without incurring any extra fees. Should you need more than two we will work out a flat-rate monthly cost with you which covers the physical usage of the rack space in our data centers. If you need an entire 42U rack full of delivery servers (that's about 380 delivery servers total!) we can do it without a problem. Always plan on tripling the size of your list every year so plan on growing that list!
